Cubic inches to cubic feet

Three different tons
A short ton is 2,000 lb and is what Americans mean by a ton. A metric ton, or tonne, is 1,000 kg, about 2,205 lb. A long ton is 2,240 lb and survives mainly in shipping and in the UK. Ocean freight rates, container payloads and the LCL revenue ton are all metric, so a rate “per ton” on an international quote is almost always per 1,000 kg.
